This policy explains what personal data aidar.design collects through this website, why we collect it, who handles it for us, and what your rights are. If anything here is unclear, email contact@aidar.design.
Who is responsible for your data
aidar.design is the trading name of Aidar Amrekulov, a freelance brand identity and web design studio registered as a sole trader (empresário em nome individual) in Portugal at Rua Heliodoro Salgado 48, 1.º Dto, 2830-346 Barreiro, Portugal (NIF 324954247). We decide how and why the data described below is used, which makes us the data controller. The contact for everything in this policy is contact@aidar.design.
What we collect
The free audit form. Your name, email address, a description of your project and your timeline, exactly as you type them.
The Brand Audit Checklist form. Your email address.
Messages you send us. If you email contact@aidar.design or message us on WhatsApp, we keep the conversation and whatever contact details come with it.
A country cookie. When you visit, our hosting provider tells us which country the request came from, and we store it in a cookie called geo_country for 30 days. It exists only so prices on this site appear in your currency. It does not identify you and is not used for advertising or tracking.
Visit statistics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read and where visitors come from. It sets no cookies and does not follow you across sites or build a profile of you. It records the page, referrer, country, browser and device type, and uses a short-lived anonymous identifier that cannot be traced back to you.
Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical details such as your IP address, browser and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.
We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies on this website. If that changes, we will update this page first.
How we use it
We use your audit request to reply to you and arrange a call. We use your email address to send the Brand Audit Checklist. If you download it, we also add your address to our mailing list and may send you occasional emails about brand and web design. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time.
Our legal basis
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which applies in Portugal, we rely on three grounds. Replying to your enquiry is a step you asked us to take before entering a contract. Sending you the checklist and occasional emails is based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Keeping the site secure and running, and measuring in aggregate how it is used, are legitimate interests of ours.
Who handles your data for us
Resend sends our emails and stores our mailing list. We use its Ireland (EU) region.
Vercel hosts this website, serves the country cookie and provides our cookieless visit statistics.
WhatsApp (Meta) handles messages if you contact us there, under its own terms and privacy policy.
These providers act on our instructions or under their own published terms. Some of them may process data outside the European Economic Area, using the transfer safeguards described in their own policies. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and conversations for as long as we need them to respond to you and to keep a record of our business dealings. Mailing list contacts stay until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. We delete anything else on request unless the law requires us to keep it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email contact@aidar.design and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (cnpd.pt), or to the authority in your own country. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the date at the top of the page. If a change affects how we use your data in a significant way, we will tell you directly.
